  About Dwayne 'DeRo' De Rosario  

Dwayne De Rosario, a name synonymous with Canadian soccer, stands as one of the most illustrious players in the history of the sport in Canada. Born on May 15, 1978, in Scarborough, Ontario, De Rosario's career spans over 18 years, during which he left an indelible mark on both the national and international stages. A versatile player, De Rosario was known for his exceptional skill as a midfielder and forward, showcasing a rare blend of speed, agility, and goal-scoring ability.

Throughout his storied career, De Rosario played for several Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs, including the San Jose Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo, Toronto FC, New York Red Bulls, and D.C. United. His contributions were pivotal in winning four MLS Cups and two MLS Supporters' Shields. Notably, he was named the MLS MVP in 2011, further cementing his legacy in the league.

On the international front, De Rosario earned over 80 caps for the Canadian national team, scoring 22 goals. His leadership and performance on the field inspired a generation of Canadian soccer players, making him a figure of national pride. Even after retiring from professional soccer, De Rosario's impact continues to resonate, with his involvement in youth soccer development and charitable work off the field.
